Human Resources Professional & Executive Salary Survey

The survey covers 45 human resources positions.  In 2009, fifteen companies from the accounting, asset management, banking, bio-medical research, brokerage, business services, diversified financial services, healthcare, insurance, investment, mail & document management, non-profit, pharmaceutical, professional services, publishing, and re-insurance participated in this survey.

            The total number of personnel employed at the participating companies ranged from 285 to 34,000.  The number of employees working in the human resources area ranged from 40 to 744 with an average number of professionals of approximately 245.  In total, the participants matched 1,822 incumbents to the surveyed positions.  The median turnover rate is 14.5%, ranging from a low of 1.0% to a high of 42.0%.
